Condolence From: Wendell Fisher
Condolence: I have known Ed for well over 25 years. Our common bond was our love for farming. Over the years he has shared with me many vivid memories of his youth on the prairies, working with his twin brother in a logging camp in northern Ontario, his war years, his work at Superior Gas, and his family and home.
Ed was a strong individual. He was ingenious and skilled at making mechanical things work. He had a strong work ethic, was self-reliant, determined and patient, and had the perseverance and stamina to make things happen.
The day before he died, Ed told me he had been "working all night". In his dream he had been harrowing a long field with his International Cub tractor. His life had come full circle.
I know Ed as a gentle and generous spirit. I have been privileged to be his friend.
Rest in Peace, Ed.

Condolence From: Steve Ecklund
Condolence: My Grandfather, a man that had the character and strength to rise above his demons, raise, protect and love his family, a man that had the heart to work hard, support and enrich his children with knowledge that would be passed along for generations.
I was not able to spend a great deal of time with this man growing up, but from him, to my farther and then onto me, there will always be a little piece of his sprit that will be with me on the hunt. For that, I will always be grateful.
