EDWARDS: Joy Evelyn – (August 30, 1920 – February 1, 2014) (retired after 35 years as music teacher with Windsor Board of Education) – at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton on Saturday, February 1, 2014. Joy (Prophet) Edwards formerly of Windsor and Toronto was the beloved wife of the late Edward “Ted” Edwards (longtime superintendent of Music for the Windsor Board of Education). Daughter of the late E. Clifton and Myrtle (Kelly) Prophet of Beaverton. Sister of Clifton and his wife Judy Prophet of Beaverton and predeceased by her sisters Luella Prophet and Beryl (late Gordon) Waldie. Aunt of Joy, John, Clifton, Mary Lue, Jane, Lynn, Elizabeth, David, Donald and great-aunt of many great-nieces and great-nephews. Family and friends will be received at St. Andrew’s Untied Church, 523 Simcoe Street, Beaverton on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 2 P.M.
