Obituary for Nina Louise JENSEN (Bush)

JENSEN: Nina Louise – peacefully at Bon Air Nursing Home, Cannington on Saturday, March 14, 2015. Nina (Bush) Jensen formerly of Beaverton in her 94th year will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Bethanee (Pierre) Chagnon of Brussells, Vickie (Frank) Pollard of Watertown, N.Y. and Judith (Ian) Toye of Minden. Grandmother of six and great-grandmother of seven. She will always be remembered for her faith and involvement with Victory Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Beaverton. Family and friends will be received at the Victory Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church 421 Main Street East, Beaverton on Saturday March 21, 2015 from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 2 P.M. Interment Castleton Cemetery. If so desired memorial donations in memory of Nina, to Victory Tabernacle Pentecostal Church or Bon Air In Memorium Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family. Nina Jensen was born on November 9, 1920 as the third child of Edgar and Keziah Bush. In August of 1935, her aunt came to their home to tell of a wonderful salvation experience that she had received. A week later, Nina went to Peterborough to hear for herself what her aunt had described. She repented that night and never turned back. She was baptized in Lake Ontario in 1937 and filled with the Holy Ghost in 1938. She was re-baptized in Jesus’ Name a few years later and then felt a call to the ministry. In 1944 she went to Bible School and in 1946 she moved to Alderville Indian Reservation with May Thompson (another single lady) and began to serve God there. In 1950 they moved to Beaverton, Ontario. They held services in their home on Simcoe Street for the first few years but then this present building was purchased in 1956. She married Bryant Jensen in June of 1958 and together they had three children. Online condolences are welcomed at www.manganfuneralhome.com
