Ronald Miller passed away peacefully on June 6, 2017 at 86 years of age. Ron was born on February 17, 1931 in Toronto, Ontario to Harry and Jean Miller (nee Fraser), the fourth of six children. He was raised in Toronto and began his career at Ontario Hydro in 1949. Ron accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour and was an active member at High Park Baptist Church. In 1951 he married Ruth Cochrane and together they had five daughters, settling in the Parkdale-High Park area of Toronto. In 1975 he moved to Beaverton with his wife Ruth, retiring from Ontario Hydro in 1976. He remained active in semi-retirement at Camp Kakeka and Fair Havens Bible Conference in various projects. Ron and Ruth were founding members of Fair Havens Community Church and actively involved there. Ruth died in 1989 and Ron married Earla McCuaig in 1990. Besides his loving wife Earla, Ron is survived by his 5 daughters Linda (Gary) Cooper, Brenda (Al) Bousfield, Ruth (Brent) Reilly, Debbie Law, and Elizabeth (Ian) MacMillan; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Hannah (Nan) Cooper, Alice Cameron, and Jeanette Miller; and brothers, Fred Miller and Allan Miller; and half-brother James Fraser. Ron loved his family, was an intelligent thinker, soft-spoken and had a great sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes can be made to Fair Havens Community Church, B2355 Hwy 48 East, Beaverton, ON, or Fair Havens Ministries, B2215 Hwy 48 East, Beaverton, ON.
