Yes I knew Elgin. I started @ the TTC in 1969 &
was elected to the E-Board of Local 113 8 years thereafter. Mr. Van Wart was the 1st Super-
intendent that I came up against. (Davenport/St. Clair) He was tough but Fair. I had an immense
amount of respect for him, as did his Operators/
Inspectors. He came down to our annual L113 Pensioners party many times & was well received.
