Obituary for Charles Raymond CAMPBELL-ROGERS

CAMPBELL-ROGERS: Charles Raymond (RAY) January 19, 1935 – December 16, 2017. Peacefully, at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Agnes (Aggie), cherished father of Allison and Jessica, respected father-in-law of Vincent Thomas and Gregor Kranjc and adored Papa of Ben, Evan, Iris and Mae. Dearly remembered by his sisters Peggy (Harvey) Bartlett and Beverley (Jake) Barber, his sister-in-law Mary Culley and brothers-in-law Gordon (Hazel) and Ronald (Marian) Lane. Admired and loved by his nieces, nephews, their families and children, he exemplified and instilled in them the joy of living. Managing to get a laugh from most whom he met, Ray’s quick wit and sense of humour will not be forgotten. A gifted and creative artist, he leaves a lasting influence through his inspiration and association with the graphic art and design community and a 27-year teaching career in visual arts at Sutton District High School. Many thanks to all the staff at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton, who provided compassionate care and support in his last years. A Service of Thanksgiving in Celebration of Ray’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 523 Simcoe Street, Beaverton Ontario on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 2 PM. Family and friends are invited to visit one hour prior to service. A private family interment will be held at the Stone Church cemetery at a later date. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to research at Parkinson Canada or the Alzheimer’s Society or The Lakeview Manor Auxiliary, Beaverton. On-line condolences are welcomed at www.manganfuneralhome.com
