My favorite memory of you is every one I can think of. My heart has never ached as much as it does thinking of a future without you physically there, but I know you will forever be walking behind me, arms out, ready to catch me the moment I fall. I remember all the days we spent in the garage working on anything my imagination could come up with, whether I wanted to build a fish for my papa or I needed you to build me a rocketship to the stars we looked at so frequently. You made my every dream come true (including the rocketship, although we could only take it on the lake, not the skies) without hesitation. You were so proud to tell people I was the toughest toddler on the block, with a trophy to prove it, because you taught me how to be all I am. My stubborn tenacity, road rage, and potty mouth are all attributed to you, as well as my curiostiy, handiness, interest in science and the world around me. As well as your willingness to bring people into our lives with no questions asked when they needed us, whether it was complete strangers calling on christmas because they had no heat, driving random people you found on the side of the road to gas stations, and stopping for every person or animal who was on the side of the road, just in case, because you taught me I can always make a difference in the world as long as you make on persons day a little better, with a laugh or a tank of gas. I'll have to move your squirt gun into my car, because summer wont be the same without your drive-by coolings. You were so willing to bring love and light into people lives that when people asked how many children you have, you'd tell them 7, because even if you didnt make them, they were still your kids to teach and look after. We are each a piece of the whole amazing man you were and will always be, and if I can be even a fraction as loving and warm as you were I will be so blessed. I miss you so much, and I love you more.
