The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of George Thomas GILES can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Kim pedwell
Condolence: so sad to hear of the passing of George, condolences to Rose & the rest of the family. George was a wonderful friendly man that I met over 20 years ago. I seen him a few months ago and he hugged me and asked how my boy Tyler was doing (who had Leukemia year's back). Rest easy George, I will always remember you forever and always. much love and hugs to the family. I can't make it to the service bit will be there in spirit.

Condolence From: Mike and Pat Radonicich
Condolence: George would come in for breakfast twentyfive years ago when we owned the Riverside Restaurant over the years as we raised our children we would run into George. He always had a smile and a story. Always asked how Mike was and remembered each child's name. He was one of the best. Rest in peace, Geogalies (my kids called him this when they were little, no idea why!). Till we meet again.
Pat and Mike

Condolence: Rose and family...... How sad to read of George's passing. He was the first friend that we made when we arrived in Ramara Township in 1990 when he pulled our pickup out of the mud at the kennel.... and he continued to always be there for us when we needed him. A very special part of the community he will certainly be missed. Sending hugs and prayers to you.

Condolence: Our condolences to Rose, Erwin, Cindy and families. My brother and I always loved visiting the Brechin clan. We were fairly sure Uncle George didn't actually mean it when he said we'd be shot at dawn. Much love to the family from Australia.

Condolence From: The Bevan Family
Condolence: A message from Hamilton. George is fondly remembered by all the "Bevan Boys" (and their families). George was a good friend to Bill and June, especially during June's last few years with us. His calls to June always brightened her day. Bill and June Bevan (deceased) valued his friendship. He will be missed. Our condolences to all of George's family during this difficult time.

Sam, Mitch, Gus, Paul and families.

Condolence From: Doug Ronan
Condolence: What an amazing guy!! One of the wisest people I've ever known!! And one of the funniest!! He used to come here and say "I'd like to help but I'm to light for heavy work and to heavy for light work!!" He was always there to help - first met George over 20 years ago when he helped get a floatplane out of a field that had ran out of gas - those that knew him should know how much fun that was because George was helping out!! Kept up with him since - whether helping us tow something, stopping by here or his house, or him holding court at the Ultramar gas station!! What a personality - will be sadly missed by all that new him!!
